Beleaguered technology outsourcer Satyam Computer Services said its client base is strong but indicated that its liabilities could exceed Rs.11,000 crore, including current, contingent and acquisition related disputes, in its regulatory filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange, raising concerns among investors whether the Rs.2890 crore acquisition made by Tech Mahindra in April, following a lengthy bidding process, was justified.

On Tuesday, Satyam announced its financial results for the December quarter and for the months of January and Febraury and gave market analysts and investors a pleasant surprise by reporting net profits and operating margins for all the three periods that far exceeded their expectations.

In the regulatory filing, the company said outsourcing agreements with 23 of its clients, who contributed $70 million in the December quarter revenue, were either terminated or it was not renewed after expiry since the revelation of the fraud.
